M’luru ComPol and DyCP chase truck smuggling sand on scooter

Mangaluru: In what could be termed as no less cinematic, the city’s Police Commissioner N Shashi Kumar and the Deputy Commissioner of Police (Law & Order) Hariram Shankar chased a sand smuggling truck on a scooter and stopped it.

Both the officers intercepted the truck near Talapady toll gate.

The truck was illegally carrying sand to Kerala from Someshwara beach.

The truck, its driver and a few vehicles escorting the truck were seized by the police.
