M’luru: Four of a family killed in Saudi road accident

Mangaluru: Four persons of a family, including a three-month-old child died in a road accident at Zulfa on the outskirts of Riyadh in Saudi Arabia on Wednesday night.

The deceased have been identified as Hiba (29), daughter of Shameem and Zareena; her husband Mohammed Rameez (34) and their children Aarush (3) and Raha (3 months). Hiba’s niece Fatima (19) sustained serious injuries in the car mishap while her nephew Eesa (4) escaped unhurt.

The family which hails from Mangaluru had reached Riyadh on Tuesday for their Umrah pilgrimage and had spent the night at a family house. On Wednesday morning they were headed towards Umrah from Riyadh when their car overturned after ramming into a road divider.

It is gathered that Hiba’s parents were travelling in another car along with their grandchildren.
