M’luru: Major fire breaks out at Pachanady garbage dump yard

Mangaluru: A fire broke out at Pachanady garbage dump yard here on Sunday, April 4 night.
Thick blankets of smoke emanating from the dump yard has created a sense of fear among residents. Locals intimated the fire department and are attempting to douse the fire using water tankers.
The fire mishap occurred at around 9 pm due to a suspected short circuit.
Dakshina Kannada Deputy Commissioner KV Rajendra and MCC mayor Premanad Shetty have rushed to the spot.
