M’luru: Masked miscreants rob PWD contractor’s family at knifepoint

Masked miscreants broke into a farmhouse of a PWD contractor at Ulaibettu on Friday night tied up the family members after holding them at knifepoint and decamped with jewelry and cash.

The incident occurred at the farmhouse of Padmanabha Kotian.

As per the complaint lodged by him, a gang of seven to eight robbers broke into their house at approximately 8 pm, threatened the family with knives, tied them up, ransacked the cupboards, and stole the jewelry and cash.

The robbers also took Padmanabha’s vehicle, which they later abandoned at a distance from the house.

Kankanady Rural Police registered a case and a manhunt has been launched to nab the suspects.
