Parents of students attending a private school in the city have voiced their dissatisfaction over the delay in registering a First Information Report (FIR) against a teacher accused of insulting Hinduism during a classroom session.
Speaking to reporters following a meeting with Police Commissioner Anupam Agarwal, the parents expressed their concerns regarding the lack of progress in the investigation.
“It has been over a week since we filed a complaint, but no FIR has been lodged yet. This delay is unacceptable,” stated one of the parents. “We have conveyed our concerns to the commissioner and urged for prompt action. The truth needs to be revealed, and justice must prevail.”
During the meeting, the parents also raised objections to FIRs registered against Hindu organization leaders. MLA Kamath, present at the protest, echoed the sentiments of the parents, calling for the quashing of FIRs against the leaders. “The FIRs against these leaders are unwarranted and unjust,” remarked MLA Kamath, emphasizing the need for fair treatment in the legal process.
Following the parents’ protest, leaders from the BJP and VHP also met with the commissioner to express their displeasure over the delay in addressing the matter. The collective demand remains for swift action and a fair investigation into the allegations against the teacher, ensuring that justice is served without bias.
