M’luru: Rowdy-sheeter brutally assaulted by miscreants dies

A rowdy sheeter who was brutally assaulted by bike-borne miscreants at MeenaKali Road near Baikampady died at a private hospital where he was admitted for treatment

The deceased has been identified as Raghavendra alias Raja (28), a resident of Baikampady.

On Monday late evening, two bike-borne persons intercepted Raghavendra and assaulted him with a sword. They inflicted multiple injuries to his face, head, and hands.

Police arrived at the scene and rushed a seriously injured Raghavendra to the hospital. It is suspected that the assailants were known to Raghavendra. The reason for the assault however is yet to be ascertained.

A case under IPC Section 307 has been registered by the police.
