M’luru: Trio sentenced to life imprisonment for rape & murder of 8-yo girl

A court on Thursday sentenced three men, convicted for the rape and murder of an eight-year-old girl, to life imprisonment.
The accused, identified as Jaysingh, Mukesh Singh, and Manish Tirki, had raped the victim near Raj Tiles Factory in Ulaibettu.
Police Inspector Johnson D’Souza conducted the investigation, gathered evidence, and filed charges under the POCSO Act.
Judge Maanu, presiding over the case, ordered a life sentence for all three accused and directed the victim’s family be awarded a compensation of Rs 5 lakh.
