M’luru: Two held for cattle theft

Mangaluru: Bajpe police personnel arrested two persons on charges of cattle theft during a routine vehicle inspection at Daddi check-post in Tenka Edapadavu village here on December 27 at around 3.30 am.
The arrested are identified as Imran Ibrahim (24), a resident of Padukonaje village and Nasir alias Nachi (26), a resident of Kallabettu village.
The duo were involved in multiple cases of cattle theft from various locations in Mangaluru. Police confiscated a blue Swift car valued at Rs 10 lac, another Ritz car, and other equipment from their possession.
Acting on a complaint filed by Chandan Upadhyay, a Kinnimajalu resident regarding the theft and slaughtering of his two cows and a calf that had been left out for grazing, the police formed a team to nab the suspected accused from Todar, Handelu, Ulaibettu, and Gantalkatte areas.
