M’luru: Two held for sale of MDMA drugs; Rs 16L worth items seized

Mangalore: CCB police on Wednesday arrested two persons for allegedly selling the banned drug MDMA in large quantities to college students and the public here.

The arrested are identified as Mohammad Ishan (35), son of Abdul Khader, a resident of Ullala Basthi Padpu and Zafar Sadhik(35), a resident of Ullala TC Road. The duo procured the drugs from Bengaluru and sold them in Mangaluru for profit.

Acting on credible information, CCB sleuths raided a house near Kotekar Beeri and confiscated Rs 9 lakh worth of MDMA drugs, a digital weighing scale, a mobile phone, and a car from the possession of the arrested. The total value of the seized items is estimated at Rs 16,13,800.

Zafar Sadiq has 9 cases registered against him at the Kushala Nagar police station in Kodagu district. These include the sale of ganja, assault, murder, and robbery. Mohammad Ishan has previously faced a case related to the sale of MDMA at the Konaje police station.
