M’luru, Udupi: 500+ new COVID-19 cases and 8 deaths in twin districts on Ind Day

Mangaluru, Udupi: 271 new COVID-19 cases were reported from Dakshina Kannada district with 6 COVID-19 deaths while in Udupi the numbers were 241 new cases and 2 deaths on August 15.

In Dakshina Kannada, the total tally now stands at 8,649 out of which 2,070 are active cases with total deaths rising to 262.

202 were discharged from hospitals across the district after recovering from the virus on Saturday.

In Udupi, the tallies are 7,738 total cases, 2,560 active cases and 77 deaths.

229 were discharged on Saturday.
