A Puttur man who had posted an advertisement to sell his camera online was allegedly deceived by a woman, her husband, and their son, who fled with the camera.
As per the complaint filed by the victim at Kadri police station he had posted an advertisement to sell his Canon Rebel SL2 camera online. A woman, who saw the advertisement, contacted him, expressing her interest in purchasing the camera.
As agreed, on September 28, the woman asked the youth to meet her near Unity Hospital in Mangaluru. The youth arrived at the hospital around 2:30 pm and called the woman. Shortly after, her husband, Muneer, and their son arrived on a bike and took the youth to where the woman was waiting.
After showing the camera to the woman, she said she liked it and took possession of it, promising to withdraw cash from an ATM to pay for it. However, the three of them left without giving any money. When the youth tried to contact the woman, her phone was switched off. He then filed a complaint at the Kadri police station, and the case is under investigation.
