M’luru: Youth dies of heart attack while playing cricket

A 31-year-old youth died of a heart attack while playing cricket in Mooduperara Kayarane on Sunday evening.

The deceased has been identified as Pradeep Poojari, son of the late Anand Poojari and a resident of Mooduperara Kayarane, passed away on September 1st due to a heart attack.

Pradeep was rushed to a private hospital in Kaikamba after he complained of chest pain while playing cricket. After receiving initial medication, he was given primary treatment at another private hospital in Bajpe. He however passed away in an ambulance when he was being shifted to a private hospital in Mangaluru.

Pradeep is survived by his mother, brother, and sister. He was an employee of the Paduperara Gram Panchayat and served as the president of the Mangaluru Taluk Committee of the State Gram Panchayat Employees Welfare Association. He had joined the Paduperara Gram Panchayat in 2012. Additionally, he was the secretary of Navarang Friends in Kayarane and an active member of Bajrang Dal and Jawner Perar.

Local MLA Dr. Bharath Shetty visited Pradeep’s residence to offer condolences to his family.
