Bengaluru: Congress MLA for Chamarajpet Zameer Ahmed Khan, on Saturday sparked a massive controversy by making a personal attack at Prime Minister Narendra Modi by stating “Modi’s wife left him because his face was not right’
Addressing the presspersons here Zameer slammed BJP’s candidate for Havari constituency Shivkumar Chanabasappa Udaisi, for asking votes on the basis of Modi’s face and suggested the latter to wear a burkha.
“Udaisi who is a two-term MP is roaming around and saying don’t look at my face. Look at the face of Narendra Modi and cast your vote. How is this justified? You must talk about your achievements. Instead, if you want people to look at Modi’s face and vote, you should wear a burkha,” Zameer said.
“Udaisi, he (Modi) had one wife and she left him because his face was not right,” he said.
He further questioned “Why should people vote for Narendra Modi? What has he done? Show me one such example that he has done in these five years. The diesel prices have gone up to 900 rupees from 400 rupees.”
