Monkey fever: Altogether 14 cases found

Udupi: In the backdrop of 42 patients from Sagar and its surrounding areas in Shimoga, getting admitted at KMC hospital in Manipal for suspected monkey fever, 8 of them have been positively diagnosed for monkey fever. Thus, till now 14 patients have been identified to have been infected by the moneky fever virus.
6 of the suspected cases were identified on Monday and are being given treatment in a separate ward and there is no need to fear. Three patients have already left after getting the required treatment, informed sources from the hospital.
