Bengaluru: A 21-year-old man was arrested by the Bengaluru police for the cold-blooded murder of his new-born baby girl by flinging her on the wall.
The arrested Kadra, a resident of Banaswadi was reportedly angry that his wife had delivered a baby girl and would frequently pick up fights with her over the issue.
On Thursday night, Kadra’s wife, Bule, 20, was attending to her 20-day-old baby girl who was crying loudly. Her cries seemed to anger Kadra and he started quarrelling with his wife going to the extent of beating her up. Amid all this chaos the baby’s cries only grew louder and an angry Kadra is said to have picked her and tossed her against the wall, killing her instantly.
Neighbours who heard Bule’s scream rushed to her house to find her weeping inconsolably over her daughter’s body. They immediately rushed the baby to a nearby hospital, where she was declared brought dead.
An inconsolable Bule rushed to the Banaswadi police station to file a complaint against her husband. In her statement given to the police, Bule claimed that Kadra was unhappy that she had delivered a girl and would often slap the baby, especially when she cried or urinated.
Meanwhile, Kadra who was trying to abscond from the city was arrested from his house itself due to the timely arrival of the cops.
He has been booked for murder and remanded to judicial custody.
