Mangaluru: Sudhindra Prabhu(16) who was critically injured by the bullet fired by his father during a quarrel lost his life on Friday, October 8.
The youth had sustained critical injuries after his father Rajesh Prabhu allegedly opened fire at two men on the premises of Vaishnavi Express Cargo Private Limited in Morgansgate, Mangaluru on Tuesday afternoon.
Rajesh’s employees, driver Chandru and cleaner Ashraf had reportedly demanded Prabhu’s wife to clear their pending wages of Rs 4,000. She then informed Rajesh Prabhu, he reached the place with his son, Sudheendra. A fight ensued in which the youth sustained a bullet wound to the head.
Sudhindra was immediately rushed to the nearby hospital and was in critical condition as the bullet pierced the teenager’s head by eight inches. He, unfortunately, could not be saved.
The weapon used in the firing was reported as a licensed one belonging to his businessman father, Rajesh.
Police are investigating the shootout and the footage was caught on the office’s CCTV camera.
