Bengaluru: In a shocking incident, a mother abandoned her five-day-old baby in a Government care centre in Chikkaballapura.
It has been reported that, when the mother realized that her baby has a fist bump and a slightly long leg, she chose to let it go. She has even refused to breastfeed the baby even as doctors assured her that the abnormalities could be totally cured.
The officer informed that under the programme, the department will take care of the child for the next three months. If the parents fail to turn up during this period, the baby will be handed over to Mathru Chaya, an NGO at Bengaluru.
