Motorbike accident kills two at Kulur

Kulur: Two youths lost their lives after two motor bikes collided with each other at Kulur on the night of Thursday November 22. Reportedly the two riders seated on one of the motor bikes fell into the river along with their vehicle and died.
The deceased are identified as Nikhil (21) from Akash Bhavan and Vijesh (22), a resident of Bangra Kulur in the city.
Apparently, four youngsters seated on two motorcycles were heading towards a resort located on the banks of Kulur River. However, due to high speed of the two he riders lost control and ended up colliding with each other. The impact of the collision was such that the motor bike on which Nikhil and Vijesh were seated fell into the river along with its riders and claimed their lives.
Immediately after the accident took place, attempts were made to rescue the youth with the help of the locals. However, their attempts were to no avail because of the pitch dark conditions. Also the water level was high and by then the motorcycle had reached the bottom of the river.
Senior police officials have visited the location and inspected the site.
