Motorist dies after tree falls on his bike

Koteshwara: A motorist died on the spot after a tree fell onto his bike when he was on his way from Kalavara to Wakwadi. The incident took place on the mid-night of May 11th.
The deceased has been identified as Ravi Devadiga (26), son of Manjunatha Devadiga, a resident of Wakwadi Devadigarabettu. The victim was on this way back home from work when the accident took place in the dead of the night. As he was reaching Wakwadi Navanagara, an Acacia tree rolled over and fell onto his bike killing him on the spot.
Search for the son
Since the victim had not returned home even though it was past 11pm, his family members got anxious and tried calling him on his cellphone, but received no response. The terrified family tried and searched for the victim but couldn’t garner any information.
Early in the morning, the localities of the area observed a person lying dead under the tree. Immediately, the localities noted the bike number and called the victim’s family through his phone and informed them about the tragedy.
A case has been registered at Kandaluru police station and the investigation is on.
