Mysuru: MP Pratap Simha made an appeal to the Election Commission to record all religious events on the eve of elections fearing political maneuvers by religious leaders.
“I have requested the Election Commission to provide effective security for the state polls. EC should ensure recording videos at all religious events including temples, churches and mosques as there are possibilities of political maneuvering”, MP Simha said.
Religious leaders who are highly influential tend to convey their messages by asking their followers to vote in favour of particular party or candidates.
