MP Sumalatha Ambareesh to be CM?!

Bengaluru: Member of Parliament from the Mandya Constituency, Sumalatha Ambareesh is all set to appear amid the people of the state as the first woman “Chief Minister”, but with a twist. She will be appearing on the 75 mm screen.

The actress will be seen playing a powerful role in the upcoming movie “Hope”.

Speaking to the media, director Ambareesh M said, “The characters as per the script of the movie demanded actors who can really portray that aura, for which, the casting team has made a point in designating roles to the actors who can really make justice to characters. Sumalatha will be portraying the powerful character of CM. This will be for the first time that the audience and her fans will be seeing her in such a powerful role”.

Meanwhile, the team has said that Sumalatha had happily accepted the role.

The movie team has said that the story focused on the aspects of politics behind the government officials getting transferred although they were prompt in their service. It will also be portraying how a woman officer falls prey to the system and her fight against the system.

The team has assured of a social message hidden in the movie. They have said that this story is something that they have experienced.

The movie is expected to hit the screens on July 8, with actress Shwetha Srivastav, and actors Pramod Shetty and Prakash Belawadi in the main role.
