MRPL Posts Quarterly GRM of $ 8.05 per bbl in Q2 FY 2017-18

Mangaluru: The board of directors of Mangalore Refinery and Petrochemicals Limited (MRPL), a subsidiary company of ONGC and schedule ‘A’ Mini Ratna Company, approved its un-audited financial results for the second quarter of the financial year 2017-18.

The company’s gross refining margin (GRM) for second quarter of financial year 2017-18 (Q2 FY 2017-18) stood at $ 8.05/ barrel (bbl) as against GRM of US $ 4.65/bbl during corresponding period of last year.  The company has posted a profit before tax for the quarter Q2 FY17-18 of Rs 690 crore as against Rs 599 crore during the corresponding quarter of previous year (Q2 FY 2016-17).  The summarized performance results of second quarter and first half of the financial year of financial year 2017-18 are as follows…
