MU open house; more than 900 students take applications

Mangaluru: To introduce the various postgraduate programmes to students and their parents, Mangalore University organised an Open House programme at the university campus, Mangalagangothri on Friday, June 29th.

Mayor K Bhaskar Moily, inaugrated the Open House and said that this programmes is a new method to give information to students planning to pursue higher education. Over 900 Students visited the postgraduate departments, saw the infrastructure, laboratories and computational facilities and interacted with faculty, on the scope of their desired subjects.

The ‘Come and Explore’ programme was organized for the fourth consecutive year by Mangalore University aiming provide first-hand information to prospective students and their parents. The university has 25 postgraduate departments offering 40 different PG programmes in science, humanities, commerce and management, and education.

The Open House also showcased the milestones and important contributions of the department, extra funding from various national and international agencies and also avenues and opportunities after completing the course.
