Bengaluru: In a significant development in the Mysuru Urban Development Authority (MUDA) site allocation scandal that has created a stir in state politics, the state government has suspended KAS officer G.T. Dinesh Kumar, the former MUDA Commissioner.
This suspension marks the first punitive action in the case.
The MUDA case has already caused the BJP and JD(S) to demand the resignation of Chief Minister Siddaramaiah. The suspension of G.T. Dinesh Kumar, who was recently appointed as the Registrar of Haveri University, has added more intrigue to the ongoing case.
The suspension order was issued on Monday (September 2) by Secretary Umadevi under the directive of the Karnataka Governor.
