Ullal: A 32-year-old man, who worked as a plumber at an IT firm here, was killed after falling off the fourth floor of an under-construction building here, police said on February 17.
The deceased has been identified as Rajesh Devadiga, a resident of Mulki.
It is gathered that Rajesh worked at the IT firm for the past 8 years. On Tuesday evening, Rajesh was called to the worksite for a repair. He finished the job and went out of the building, but returned at 4 pm. The CCTV footage captured him talking on the phone while entering the building. He has not seen getting out of it.
As Rajesh did not return home, a search was launched and the police found his dead body, on Wednesday, at the bottom of the shaft at the under-construction building. His mobile phone was also found nearby.
Forensic experts were called in for examining the spot. It is suspected that the victim might have accidentally fallen from the 4th floor after losing his balance.
A case has been registered at the Konaje police station.
