Mukesh Ambani now among world’s top-10 richest as net worth rises to $64.6 bn

According to the Forbes Real-Time Billionaire list, Reliance Industries Chairman and Managing Director Mukesh Ambani has entered the list of top ten richest persons in the world

Mukesh Ambani’s net worth  has increased by over 12 times from USD 5.3 billion to USD 64.6 billion (Rs 4.9 lakh crore).

The development comes as Ambani owned Jio Platforms has raised a spectacular sum to the tune of $15 billion from marquee investors dotting different parts of the globe.

The company in a statement said, “ RIL has raised over Rs 1,68,818 crore in just 58 days through investments by global tech investors (Rs 1,15,693.95 crore) and rights issue (Rs 53,124.20 crore)”

The deals have helped Ambani, make Reliance Industries Ltd. net debt-free ahead of his March 2021 deadline.

In March 2020, Ambani was ranked 21st on Forbes’ annual billionaire list, with a net worth of $36.8 billion, while Page and Brin were 13th and 14th.
