Multiple landslides on Bisle Ghat

  • A huge landslide near the Bisle Viewing Tower

Subhramanya: Multiple landslides have been occurring along Bisle Ghat in Sakleshpur -Subhramanya. A huge landslide has also occurred near the Bisile viewing tower.

Along with the landslides there is also flooding on the road belonging to Dakshina Kannada (D.K.) and Sakleshpur division on the Subhramanya- Sakleshpur national highway. The strong floods have washed of huge trees. Road connectivity has been completely cut off.

The trees lying on the road have been cleared by Subhramanya localities. Since there were more landslides in Sakleshpur region it was not possible to conduct any operations there, said the residents of Sakleshpur.

There has been a huge landslide near the Viewing Tower and one can see huge cracks on a far-off hill due to the landslide. There people residing in homes on the lower part on the hill and are presently terrified of nature here. Since there are incessant rains occurring in Sakleshpur area, there is a rise in concerns.
