Murder at Mangaluru jewellery shop: Police release more images of suspect

Mangaluru: The Mangaluru Police on Friday, February 10 released more images of the assailant who stabbed an employee to death at a Jewellery store at Hampankatte in the city.
“The following person came in the guise of a gold buyer and stabbed and killed Raghavendra Achar, a staff member inside the jewellery shop. The photograph of the said person was found in the images recorded in the CCTVs, and if any information about the said person is found, it is requested to provide the information to the following mobile phone number of the officer under the jurisdiction of Mangalore Commissionerate. The informant’s details will be kept confidential,” the city police said.
Informants are requested to contact the following police officers: ACP CCB, Mangalore City – PA Hegde (9945054333) or ACP Central Sub Division, Mangalore City – Mahesh Kumar – (9480805320).
Raghavendra Achar (55) a resident of Attavar and a jewelry shop employee died after he was stabbed by an unknown miscreant on February 3 near Hampanakatte Milagris. He was alone at the shop when the incident occurred.
The CCTV Cameras had captured a masked person leaving the store. The shop owners allegedly learned about the incident when they returned to the store after lunch.
The reason for the attack is yet to be known.
