Bengaluru: BJP candidate Muniratna has expressed concern that there could be a possibility of murder in Rajarajeshwari Nagar to score a victory in the by-elections.
Speaking to reporters during vote canvassing at Bandappa Gardens, Muniratna said that in the constituency four thousand outsiders have come to start a riot. We should not nurture such gunda culture and allow for any unpleasant incidents. I promise to complete the many development works to be done in the constituency.
Muniratna further said that he would write a letter to the Central government and the Election Commission to deploy army instead of paramilitary forces during the elections.
Minister of Revenue R Ashok, stated on the occasion that DK Shivakumar and DK Suresh are ‘election experts’ of Kanakapura. Illegal practices are their usual business. Congress means gundagiri. Now, they have sensed that their defeat in the by-elections is certain that is why they protested in front of a police station to postpone the elections. However, we are sure of BJP emerging victorious in the by-elections with a lead of almost 40 – 50 thousand votes. When Muniratna was in Congress he contested elections according to their culture, now that he is in the BJP he will contest as per the party’s electoral culture.
Home Minister Basavaraja Bommai stated that the elections will be conducted peacefully. The police are taking every action to ensure law and order is not disturbed. The Election Commission has already taken the charge for the elections.
