Mangaluru: A day after a milk van was seized for illegally transporting beef, Mangaluru City Corporation (MCC) officials, including mayor Diwakar conducted raids at the slaughterhouses here on Wednesday, October 14.
The raid comes in the backdrop of complaints received from the public, raising suspicion that mutton was being adulterated with beef.
After checking the licences and bills of the slaughterhouse and stall owners, the Mayor warned them of revoking licenses if they are found to be selling adulterated mutton.
