My housing scheme has no links with that of Madhwaraj: MLA Bhat

Udupi: An application for a housing project submitted by Pramod Madhwaraj was rejected by the Rajiv Gandhi Housing Board due to lack of a Detailed Project Report with it and the housing scheme proposed by me at Herga village is not the continuation of that, claimed MLA Raghupati Bhat.

The MLA was speaking in a news conference at Udupi on January 7.

Raghupati Bhat further explained that Madhwaraj’s proposal was rejected in August 2018 as he had not done any planning or obtained approval before submitting the application and alleged that Madhwaraj had done it only to gain some votes in the state elections.

The housing scheme by him is under the new Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana which is not connected to the Rajiv Gandhi Housing Scheme referred by Madhwaraj, Raghupati Bhat added.
