Mysuru: 17-year-old commits suicide due to alleged police torture

Mysuru: A teenager committed suicide after police allegedly tortured and humiliated him for not putting a number plate on his two-wheeler.

The deceased is identified as Dharshan(17), son of Sunnadakeri resident Kumar.

As per sources, the police allegedly seized Dharshan’s scooter and took him to the police station for not putting a number plate on the vehicle.

After taking him to the police station they allegedly tortured and humiliated him for breaking the rules, upset over this Dharshan committed suicide by hanging himself after returning home.

Following the incident, the family members of the deceased are protesting against in front of the KR Police state and have been demanding against the police inspector.
