Mysuru: 19 y/o girl commits suicide by hanging self, reason not known

Mysuru: A suicide case has been reported from Block C of police quarters at Jalapuri on Sunday, December 18, in which, a girl named Girija Lakshmi (19), daughter of ASI Gopinath of Mysuru Police Special Cell hung herself.

She took this hasty decision when there was no one at home.

However, the reason behind this decision is not yet known.

In the evening, when her family returned home, the case had come to light.

Although she was rushed to the nearby hospital for treatment, she had breathed her last by that time.

Girija Lakshmi was a first-year B. Com student pursuing her academics at Teresian College.

Currently, her mortal remains are kept at K R Hospital.

As per the sources, the body will be handed over to her family tomorrow (December 19) after the postmortem.

Meanwhile, a case has been registered at the Nazarbad Police Station.
