Mysuru Airport to Start Functioning from September 2017

Mysuru: After a long time wait, Mysuru airport will start functioning from September 2017 as efforts turn fruitful to start a direct flight service between Mysuru and Chennai from September, this year. The civil aviation ministry has decided to launch the service under regional transport system and an agreement has already been signed between Karnataka, Tamil Nadu governments, Airport Authority of India (AAI) and Air Odisha.
The flight between Mysuru and Chennai will cost at Rs 2500 for a distance covering 500 kilometers. The air service providers will get support from state and union governments.
