Mysuru: Ayub Khan sent in judicial custody over derogatory comments on Lord Gomateshwara

Mysuru: The President of the New Indian Congress Party, Ayub Khan has been sent in 14-day judicial custody for allegedly insulting Lord Gomateshwara.
The second additional civil judge and JMFC court on Saturday ordered that Khan will be in judicial custody till February 25.
It is said that Khan while speaking about the Hijab controversy in the state had issued a derogatory statement against Lord Gomateshwara.
Members of the Jain community across the state criticized his comment and also demanded his arrest.
A police complaint was lodged against Khan by the members of Sri Digambar Jain Samaj.9741202171
Following which Khan was booked under relevant sections of IPC and was arrested. On Saturday, he was produced before the court.
