Mysuru: After Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa’s son BY Vijayendra and his wife offered special poojas at the Srikanteshwara temple in Nanjangud in the district here on Tuesday, Congress has threatened a formal complaint.
KPCC spokesperson M Lakshmana said that due to the lockdown only temple’s priest are allowed to enter and perform poojas at the temples.
“Under what provision was the special permission given to Vijayendra?” he questioned.
Lakshmana further added that a delegation of Congress leaders is considering meeting Mysuru Deputy Commissioner Rohini Sindhuri to lodge a formal complaint against Vijayendra.
Vijayendra had visited the temples to fulfil a vow he had taken for his father and himself to safely recover from COVID-19.
He also visited Mahadeva Taata Gaddige in nearby Hullahalli, and offered a bagina to the Kapila river.
