Mysuru: Karnataka DGP Praveen Sood has confirmed that 5 people including a juvenile related to the gang rape at the Chamundi Hills have been caught.

The DGP confirmed the report at a news conference held here.

“Seven teams of police were formed to trace the accused. All of them all from Tamil Nadu and are labourers who had come to the local vegetable mandi. There are six accused in the case, five have been arrested so far. One of them was a juvenile who is 17 years old,” Sood said.

“No information was received from the victim. This is special in this case. Her friend gave us most of the information. That too is incomplete. The case is now being investigated using technology,” he added.
