Mysuru: Husband dies of Covid-19 on the day of wife’s Punyathithi: kids orphaned

Mysuru: The deadly coronavirus is breaking families, destroying lives. Several heartbreaking stories have been reported across the country.

One such incident has been reported from Mysuru. Two kids were orphaned after their parents died of Covid-19. It is said that Sushma (37), a resident of Gangothri layout in the city died of Covid-19 on May 19, and on her punyathithi husband Prasanna (44) too died of Covid-19.

The couple had tested positive for Covid-19 a month ago and were undergoing treatment. Children were residing in their grandparents’ home.

They had arrived at the city for  Sushma’s punyathithi but Prasanna died on the same day leaving the two kids behind.

The kids were taken back to their grandparents’ house.
