Mysuru: Lovers end life by jumping into KRS backwaters

Srirangapatna: In a shocking incident, two young lovers chose to end their life just days after the girl married another man. The couple jumped into the K R Sagar backwaters with their hands tied together with a shawl.

The deceased lovers have been identified as Naveen (20) and Nisarga (19), both residents of Metagalli locality in Mysuru.

It is gathered that both were family relatives and were in love with each other. Both had hidden their love-relationship from their family, sources said.

On November 20, Nisarga got married to a man from a village near Chamarajanagar, sources added.

Both had gone missing on December 1. The scooter they were traveling in was found near Military Camp on the north bank of KRS backwaters.
