Vikram Simha, the brother of Mysuru MP Pratap Simha has been arrested from Bengaluru in connection with the unauthorized felling of 126 trees on government land in Nandagondanahalli, Belur taluk on Saturday evening.
Forest department sources reveal that Vikram Simha is scheduled to be transported to Nandagondanahalli in Belur taluk on Sunday morning. The arrest follows a thorough interrogation at Aranya Bhavan in Malleshwar, Bengaluru, by the officials from the Hassan division of the forest department.
The authorities are actively addressing the case to ensure appropriate action is taken in response to the alleged illegal tree felling.
