Nalin Kateel slams Congress govt order mandating Urdu knowledge for Anganwadi teacher applicants

Team Udayavani, Sep 25, 2024, 10:21 AM IST

Former BJP State President Nalin Kumar Kateel has condemned the circular issued by the Department of Women and Child Welfare mandating knowledge of the Urdu language for Anganwadi teacher applicants in Moodigere and Chikkamagaluru districts.

He expressed his disapproval of the Congress government’s announcement, stating that it is unacceptable to require proficiency in Urdu to secure an Anganwadi teaching position.

Kateel accused Congress of attempting to favor the Muslim community in the recruitment process, thereby ensuring that only they get these jobs. He further claimed that this is yet another example of Congress’s “cunning strategy” to appease the Muslim community.
