Nalin Kumar for the post of state president: RSS

Mangaluru: With the sudden demise of union minister Ananth Kumar, senior BJP leaders are worried that it might affect BJP’s influence in the state and are contemplating on handing over the portfolio of minister to influential MPs such as Prahlad Joshi or Nalin Kumar Kateel in the state.

Apparently, during the BJP national president Amit Shah’s visit to the city, the RSS leaders requested Mr Shah to make a sincere party leader as the state president. They suggested to appoint person who has good rapport with the Sangh and not to depend on mass leader like Yeddyurappa. The suggestion was well received by Mr Shah, its being said.

The list handed over to Mr Shah by the RSS; include the names of Chikmagaluru MLA C T Ravi and Mangaluru’s MP Nalin Kumar Kateel. However, it is being said that any changes in the state will take place only after the Lok Sabha elections.
