Nalin responsible for Vijaya Bank merger: Mahabala Marla

Mangaluru: MP Nalin Kumar Kateel did not show any interest to stop the merger of Vijaya Bank with the Bank of Baroda and Dena Bank, said former mayor Mahabala Marla on Wednesday, April 3.
Speaking to the media Mr Marla said, “Vijaya Bank was under profit and it was merged with Bank of Baroda and Dena Bank which are under severe loss. In a fraud case in South Africa, Dena Bank was blacklisted. In the year 2018, RBI had imposed certain restrictions on the bank. Even after all such negative development, the recommendation for merger was done.”
“MP Nalin did not take this bank merger issue seriously. It was his responsibility to save Vijaya Bank from getting merged with other banks. In order to save his candidature, MP Nalin preferred not to utter a single word on this issue. People will definitely answer him in the upcoming elections,” he pointed.
“MP Nalin has diverted the minds of people by lying and is unnecessarily blaming Congress leaders Veerappa Moily and Chidambaram,” he added.
