Kundapur: Hindu activists have expressed outrage against Mother Teresa School for allegedly playing ‘Azan’ and making students offer namaz during a sports event held at Shankaranarayana town here

Reportedly, students were allegedly made to perform Namaz and and ‘Azan’ was played on the loudspeaker during the event on Monday. Videos of the said incident went viral on social media.

Hindu activists on Wednesday staged a protest and demanded action against the educational institution and the principal.

Mohan Gowda, spokesperson of the ‘Hindu Janajagruthi Samithi’, condemned the school management for ‘”forcing the Hindu students to perform Namaz”.

A petition in this regard has been submitted to Kundapur police. It is gathered that though the school administration has apologised for the incident, Hindu activists want action to be taken against them.
