Names of 50K Illegal Bangladeshi Migrants to be Canceled from Voters List in Bengaluru

Bengaluru: The names 50, 000 illegal Bangladeshi migrants included in the list of voters in Bengaluru, said Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) Commissioner, Election Officer Manjunath Prasad.
The officials have found the registration of illegal Bangladeshi migrants when they checked the electoral roll for a revision recently. The illegal migrants have been residing at various parts of the city and the names of such illegal migrants would be cancelled from the list of voters in Bengaluru, he added. As of now, BBMP has received 9691 applications to include their names in the electoral roll in Bengaluru.
