Manipal: The “Namma Sante”, a fair for local products organized by Udayavani in collaboration with the Manipal Institute of Communication (MIC), witnessed enthusiastic participation from the public, continuing its success on the second day on Sunday.

The event, held at the MIC premises near the Udayavani headquarters on February 24 and 25, featured a diverse range of offerings, with a particular highlight being the exhibition and sale of handicrafts, organic products, khadi clothing, and textiles. Drawing attendees from nearby areas such as Udupi, Manipal, Parkala, and Malpe, the event saw a bustling business environment with over 50 stores participating.

Visitors expressed a keen interest in eco-friendly products, particularly handmade jewellery, pepper, jackfruit items, mango products, and Kanile products, reflecting a growing demand for sustainable and locally sourced goods.

Additionally, local traders showcased decorative and household items, as well as a variety of khadi and handmade jewellery, further enriching the shopping experience for attendees.

The event also featured a vibrant trade in dried flowers, buds, leaves, and other nature-inspired artefacts, alongside Ayurvedic products, all of which attracted considerable attention from customers.

Families attending the event were delighted with the diverse offerings and had the opportunity to explore a food zone, play zone, and the Udayavani stall, which were especially popular attractions.

Over the course of two days, “Namma Sante” welcomed thousands of visitors, highlighting its significance in promoting local businesses and supporting the regional economy.
