Bengaluru: Karnataka Milk Federation which already is a leader of the dairy industry in the state with its extensive milk products that includes milk, yoghurt, butter, biscuits and cakes will be soon starting it’s very own high-end coffee outlets under the name ‘Nandini Café Moo.’
These outlets will be based on Cafe Coffee Day with uniformed staff and attractive seating spaces.
The KMF board has already drawn up plans and will open these coffee houses by the end of March next year.
KMF’s products have a lot of demand in the state however, KMF officials were concerned that the Nandini brand has become limited to the middle class and hence planned out these coffee outlets for the wealthy.
Presently, one such coffee outlet is functioning at Jayanagara, Bengaluru.
More than 70 lakh litres of milk is produced every day in the state. KMF’s turnover per year is more than Rs 15,000 crores. However, KMF could not make the Nandini brand create a brand value like that of Amul, nationally and internationally.
The KMF board has decided to make it’s turnover reach Rs 35,000 crore in the next five years.
The Federation will also be launching chocolate bars too. A tender for the same will be issued soon.
