Nandini to recycle milk packets, CPP bottle

Mangaluru: In the backdrop of the launch of Swachhata Hi Sewa (Cleanliness is Service) programme by the prime minister to spread awareness and manage plastic waste under the Swacch Bharat initiative, Nandini has decided to collect back its milk packets and CPP bottles through the distributors and recycle them with the aim spread awareness among its consumers and distributors from Oct 2nd onwards, informed Raviraj Hegde, president of the Dakshina Kannada Co – Operative Milk Producers Union at a press meet.
The used plastic packets and CPP bottles will be collected daily by the association through the 1650 dealers and 104 milk distribution vehicles in Mangaluru and Udupi districts and in order to recycle it, the company has identified Nature Friendly Recycle Industries and Dry Wastage Handling company as its officially agency. The dealers and customers in Mangaluru can collect the plastic packets and CPP bottles and provide them, he informed.
