Los Angeles: Actor Natalie Morales has been roped in for a recurring role of Michelle in the season two of Netflix series “Dead to Me”.
Her character is described as wry and down to earth. She has a relaxed charm and infectious wit. She forms a connection with Judy (Linda Cardellini) at the Assisted Living Facility, where her difficult mother lives.
The streaming platform had renewed “Dead to Me” for a sophomore run in June this year.
The show follows Jen (Christina Applegate), a sardonic widow determined to solve her husband’s recent hit-and-run murder, and Judy, an optimistic free spirit who’s recently suffered her own tragic loss.
“When the two women meet at a support group, they become unlikely friends despite their polar-opposite personalities. But as they bond, Judy desperately tries to shield Jen from a shocking secret that could destroy her life as she knows it,” the plotline reads.
Showrunner Liz Feldman and Applegate are executive producers on the series.
Jessica Elbaum of Gloria Sanchez Productions and Will Ferrell and Adam McKay of Gary Sanchez Productions are also attached as executive producers.
