Nationwide strike by various trade unions on Jan 8: AITUC Leader

Mangaluru: National General Secretary of All India Trade Union Congress (AITUC), Amarjeet Kaur on Saturday, December 14 said that the Centre is following divisive politics.

“Various trade unions across the country will hold a nationwide strike on January 8 to oppose the policies the Centre that is against the citizen’s interest,” she told media persons.

“The government is trying to divide the country through Citizenship Amendment Bill (CAB). The national economy is sinking every day and the government is diverting the attention of people through CAB,” she alleged.

She also urged the government to revoke CAB.

CPI District General Secretary V Kukyan, AITUC District Secretary H V Rao and Dr. Srinivas Kakkilaya were also present.
